2 . AIM
DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk has been designed to sell Easy-to-use portable Aluminium access ramps.
3. MAKING A PURCHASE
Making a purchase is a simple process. View the items in the shop at your leisure, and when you have found a product you wish to buy simply select your quantity and click add to cart. You will then be faced with 2 further options, you may continue shopping and check out later or, if you have all you require, click the go to the check out tab where you will be asked for some details essential to the completion of your order. DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk accepts payments via Pay Pal and Cheque. We also have an option to pay in cash but this is for local orders only.
4. SHIPPING INFORMATION
Disabled Access Ramp offers a home delivery service using Royal Mail First Class and Parcel delivery. If you have any special deadlines for delivery, please contact us and we will do our best to help. (see section 5 for dispatch times).
5. DISPATCH POLICY
We aim to dispatch products within 2 working days and endeavour to deliver all products within 2-5 days working days from the receipt of your payment.
Whilst every effort will be made to ensure all items displayed are available, in the event that a displayed item is out of stock you will be notified as soon as possible. We will advise you when we expect delivery of your Product and the Product will be sent as soon as we receive it. If the Product has been discontinued or the delivery time scale is too long for your requirements a full refund or an alternative will be offered.
6. ORDER CONFIRMATION
You will receive 3 emails. The first will be a confirmation of your order. The second will be sent to you on receipt of payment and a third will be sent to you when your order has been dispatched.
7. DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS
We will deliver via one of the above mentioned services at the given delivery address between the hours of 9.30 - 5.00pm Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays). Should your goods be returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. However we reserve the right to make a further charge to cover any additional postage expense. We accept no responsibility for goods lost in transit due to an incorrectly supplied address.
You should always use an address where someone is available to receive your parcel. If however you miss the delivery of your parcel you will receive a card saying that Royal Mail is holding an item for you. You can arrange with Royal Mail to redeliver the parcel to your address or to another address free of charge on a day convenient to you. For an additional charge Royal Mail will deliver it to your local Post Office, you can collect it anytime after midday on the requested delivery date. You will be responsible to arrange this collection and payment if applicable.
8. COLLECTION IN PERSON
The collection in person postal option is free and is exactly what it says. Collection arrangements can be made via email to info@DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk or via Disabled Access Ramp in person.
9. CHANNEL ISLANDS AND EUROPEAN TRANSACTIONS
If you wish to purchase a product or have a product sent overseas please contact info@DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk and we will advise you of the postage costs involved.
10. COLOURS, SHAPES & SIZES
The colour, shape and size of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to limitations of browser. It is your responsibility to notify us of any major errors or changes within 14 days of receipt.
11. CANCELLATION
You have the right to cancel an order for any reason up to the point of dispatch. Disabled Access Ramp will refund you in full within 21 days of receipt of your cancellation notice.
You have the right to cancel the contract and receive a refund by emailing info@DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk at any time within 7 working days after receipt of the Products for any reason. (For further info please refer to Section 16).
12. DAMAGED OR FAULTY PRODUCTS
You must inspect all Products immediately upon receipt. If an item purchased from us is damaged or faulty you should notify Disabled Access Ramp via email to info@DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk within 7 days of receipt of the Products. You will be entitled to a replacement Product or a full refund of the Product. If you fail to do so you will be deemed to have accepted the Products.
13. INCORRECT PRODUCTS
If you receive the wrong Product you should notify Disabled Access Ramp by email to info@DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk immediately upon receiving the products. The incorrect Products should be returned by you to Disabled Access Ramp within 21 days of delivery. Disabled Access Ramp will then send you the correct items. You will receive a full refund of any postal charges (up to the value of 1st class Royal Mail or Royal Mail Standard Parcels for larger items) incurred by you in returning incorrect products to Disabled Access Ramp.
14. EXCHANGES
If you wish to exchange a Product you should notify Disabled Access Ramp via email within 7 days of receiving delivery and send the product back to Disabled Access Ramp within 21days of receipt. The Product should be unused in its original undamaged packaging with labels intact. You will be responsible for the postage costs of returning the unwanted Product and the additional costs of resending a new Product. A refund will be given to you if the new Product costs less than the original, or you will be charged an additional payment if the new product is more expensive. On receipt of payment (if applicable) and Product return Disabled Access Ramp will send out the chosen alternative to you.
15. RETURNING PRODUCTS
New and unused products must be returned to Disabled Access Ramp in their original undamaged packaging with labels intact and at your own expense within 21 days of purchase. You must ensure the correct postage and insurance is paid for such return. You will receive a refund for the total Product cost excluding delivery charges. For Products that have been returned as new but where the seal of the original packaging has been opened and the product used or damaged Disabled Access Ramp reserve the right to subtract the appropriate sum from your Product refund, dependant on the resale value or repair of the Product.
You must notify Disabled Access Ramp by email prior to the return of your Products.
16. HOW TO RETURN PRODUCTS
You should send an email to info@DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk and include:
- Your order number
- Your name
- The Products that you are returning and why
- The Products that you require instead (if applicable)
- If the Products are damaged or faulty, the nature of the damage or fault
Parcel up the returned item securely and take it to your nearest post office - we recommend that you send returns by Royal Mail First Class or Royal Mail Standard Parcel for larger items. We also recommend you have adequate insurance to cover the item. Address the parcel and send to:

Always obtain proof of postage when returning a Product. Products are returned at your own cost and refunds will be given where applicable. Please send your Products to Disabled Access Ramp within 21 days of purchase. Goods returned requiring excess postage on receipt will not be accepted and will be returned to you.
17. CONFIDENTIALITY
Customer details are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
The website www.DisabledAccessRamp.co.uk is protected by industry standard SSL technology, therefore any information you give us can only be accessed by us as information is stored on secure servers. We collect information from customers only to fulfil orders. We may from time to time contact you by email to inform you of special offers/promotions we are running. We never pass on information about our customers to any 3rd party without their consent, but we reserve the right to pass on customers’ contact numbers to parcel carriers in the event of delivery difficulties, unless specifically requested not to do so.
18. INDEMNITY
The Customer agrees to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of the customer’s use of this site.
Disabled Access Ramp strongly recommends that the customer should carefully read any instructions supplied with the Products sold on this site. Disabled Access Ramp will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained due to negligent use of any of its Products.
19. OUT OF OUR HANDS
Disabled Access Ramp will not be liable for any disturbances of service to their Customers that are beyond its reasonable control eg. postal strikes, natural disasters, severe weather, power shortages.
20. CONSUMER RIGHTS
None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
21. TERMS OF USE
By using this website you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms please do not access and/or use this site. These terms may change from time to time. All changes will be made available on this page, please review these terms regularly to ensure that you are aware of any changes made. Your continued use of this site after changes have been made means you agree to be legally bound by these terms. All personal information supplied to us online via this website is held in confidence and in accordance with the Data Protection Act. The server upon which we store our in-house database is kept in a secure environment. It is possible that in the future Disabled Access Ramp could be acquired by or merged with another business. Should this happen, we reserve the right to share your personal information with the new owners of Disabled Access Ramp. However you will be sent prior notice of such an event.
Credit/Debit Card Information is collected and processed securely by Paypal.
We do enter and process your details using the Paypal Virtual Payment terminal if your order is to be paid for by telephone. Your credit and debit card details are entered directly into the Virtual Terminal and not stored anywhere else on our system or recorded using any other method of data storage.
